Insurance and fees
Getting started with therapy should feel straightforward, not stressful. Here is what you need to know about working with us.
Insurance
We accept Aetna and Cigna. Not sure if you're covered? Check your eligibility here: https://secure.helloalma.com/check-my-insurance-coverage/
Out-of-Network Benefits
Don't have Aetna or Cigna? You may still be able to use your benefits. Many plans offer out-of-network coverage for mental health services, and we provide monthly superbills you can submit directly to your insurance for reimbursement. We work with Thrizer to make that process easier. Check your eligibility here: https://eligibility.thrizer.com/
Self-Pay
Prefer to keep your care private? Self-pay clients are always welcome. Choosing not to use insurance means your mental health journey stays completely confidential and nothing is shared with your employer or appears on insurance documents. Sessions may also be covered through an HSA or FSA account.

To find out about your out-of-network benefits, contact your insurance company and ask:
Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage?
What is my reimbursement rate for therapy sessions?
Are there any deductibles or limits I should be aware of?
Do I need a referral from my primary care physician?
This will help you understand your coverage and what to expect for reimbursement.

At Every Chapter Counseling, we believe in keeping things clear and straightforward when it comes to your care. That’s why, under the No Surprises Act, we’re committed to providing you with a “Good Faith Estimate” for our services if you’re paying out-of-pocket or not using insurance.
What’s a Good Faith Estimate?
It’s a written estimate of the expected total cost of your non-emergency psychotherapy services, including any extra fees like tests or assessments that might come up. We’ll make sure you get this estimate at least one business day before your scheduled appointment. You’re also welcome to ask for it before you book any services with us.What if My Bill is Higher?
If you find that your final bill exceeds the Good Faith Estimate by a significant amount, you have the right to dispute it. Make sure to keep a copy of your estimate, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We’re here to help ensure you’re comfortable with your costs.Need More Info?
For additional details or questions about your rights under the No Surprises Act, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or feel free to contact us directly. Your peace of mind is important to us, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. -
We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full session fee. This policy helps us manage our schedule and provide timely care for all clients. Thank you for your understanding.

Choosing self-pay for therapy offers significant privacy benefits. By opting for self-pay, your mental health services remain confidential and are not recorded on your insurance documents. This means that your therapy details are not shared with your employer or other third parties. For anyone who prefers to keep their mental health journey private, self-pay ensures that you maintain control over your personal information, allowing you to focus on your well-being without concerns about privacy.
