Insurance and fees
At Every Chapter Counseling, we operate on a self-pay basis. This means we do not directly bill insurance companies, allowing us to focus entirely on providing you with personalized, high-quality care.
Here's what you need to know:
We accept payment directly from clients after each session.
Many insurance policies offer out-of-network benefits for mental health services.
We provide monthly superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Your therapy services may be eligible for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits, medical spending, or health care savings accounts.
This approach ensures that you have full control over your therapy journey and goals while still potentially benefiting from your insurance coverage. It's important to check with your insurance provider about your specific out-of-network mental health benefits, as coverage can vary between plans.
We believe this model allows us to offer you the most authentic, creative, and educational therapeutic experience possible, aligning with Every Chapter's commitment to supporting you through every stage of your personal growth journey.

To find out about your out-of-network benefits, contact your insurance company and ask:
Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage?
What is my reimbursement rate for therapy sessions?
Are there any deductibles or limits I should be aware of?
Do I need a referral from my primary care physician?
This will help you understand your coverage and what to expect for reimbursement.

At Every Chapter Counseling, we believe in keeping things clear and straightforward when it comes to your care. That’s why, under the No Surprises Act, we’re committed to providing you with a “Good Faith Estimate” for our services if you’re paying out-of-pocket or not using insurance.
What’s a Good Faith Estimate?
It’s a written estimate of the expected total cost of your non-emergency psychotherapy services, including any extra fees like tests or assessments that might come up. We’ll make sure you get this estimate at least one business day before your scheduled appointment. You’re also welcome to ask for it before you book any services with us.What if My Bill is Higher?
If you find that your final bill exceeds the Good Faith Estimate by a significant amount, you have the right to dispute it. Make sure to keep a copy of your estimate, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We’re here to help ensure you’re comfortable with your costs.Need More Info?
For additional details or questions about your rights under the No Surprises Act, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or feel free to contact us directly. Your peace of mind is important to us, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. -
We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full session fee. This policy helps us manage our schedule and provide timely care for all clients. Thank you for your understanding.

Choosing self-pay for therapy offers significant privacy benefits. By opting for self-pay, your mental health services remain confidential and are not recorded on your insurance documents. This means that your therapy details are not shared with your employer or other third parties. For anyone who prefers to keep their mental health journey private, self-pay ensures that you maintain control over your personal information, allowing you to focus on your well-being without concerns about privacy.
